You will learn the basics of making a quilt in this class - choosing your fabrics, perfect piecing techniques, setting your blocks, putting on the borders, and layering, quilting and binding your quilt. If you've always wanted to make a quilt, now is the time. Choose your fabrics before class, or come with just one or two and you'll get help picking out the best combination in class. This fall we have a brand new pattern that you will love - come and join us for a great time!

Machine Quilting

Instructor: Bobette Weimer

Now is the time to finish up all those "UFO's" you have sitting in the closet! There's no secret to machine quilting your own quilts. I'll show you the tips and techniques you need to be a successful machine quilter. With a little practice, anyone can do it!. Book purchase required.

2 - 4 - 6  (A beginning quilting class)

Instructor: Terri Nussbaum

Learn all the beginning tricks to quilting in this one class. We will start with rotary cutting, reading the ruler, and strip piecing. Then, it is on to flip and sew and half square triangles. Oh. . .  the quilts you can make with just these three techniques. As a bonus we will throw in fast flying geese. With two five hour workshops you will be off and running into the wonderful world of quilting. Warning . . . this can be addicting!

A little birdie in the Bird House

Well, we are ready for another Around the Block with Terri !!  In this session Terri will  show you how to do foundation piecing and how to do a stack and slash method and then piece the block together. This is so forgiving, no seams match and then you square down the block, perfect every time! Cute quilt, great technique.

Scrap Bag Buddies

This go around is a "Scrap Ribbon" Quilt. Anything goes and 2 1/2" x 4 1/2" rectangles are all we need. Join us for our monthly block exchange as we work towards another wonderful scrap quilt and lots of fun.

Girls Night Out

Fun, fellowship and sewing . . . That's what this class is about. If you need help, our instructor is here to give it. If you want to sew without the interruptions of home this is the class for you. Bring your own project and sew away. Everyone is welcome. First come, first served, so sign up.

Just two yards of fabric and a few hours is all it takes to make a great Christmas gift for someone special (or for yourself!) This class will be a lot of fun and you should be able to finish the project while you are here. We're making aprons, so with that theme bring your favorite recipe to share with the rest of the class. (Bring some blank recipe cards to write your new recipes on).  Pick 2 coordinating prints or use a jelly roll or two and join us for an afternoon of fun and sewing.

Did you attend the Meg Hawkey workshop in August? If you did you will need to put your bag together. So get your embroidery done and join us for an afternoon of constructing the bag itself. I will guide you as you visit, eat and sew. Together we will do every thing possible to make sure you have a finished bag by the time you go home.

Debbie has graciously accepted our invitation to have a workshop here at the shop. The date is Sunday Oct 24th. The time is from 12:00 to 4:00. She will be teaching a small Christmas Tree wall hanging. Space will be limited so sign up early.  The cost for this event is only $45.00. Space will be limited. (Kits available)
