"A Cottage Year", a
new kit is now available. It is from Kathy Schmitz. We
have trimmed our embroidered blocks in tans and reds,
with a rich chocolate brown with red flowers for the
sashing and border. The quilt is 48" x 63". The cost of
the
kit is only $59.99.
It's time to get
your table runners started for the 4th of July. We have
many great patterns that work well with red, white and
blue. We also have table runner kits available. We also
have a great selection of fabrics for that 4th of July
table cloth you have in mind. Let us help you pick just
the right fabric and trims.

New fabric by Jo
Morton: Indigo Berries, Ravenwood, Cocoa Express, Banner
Day and some oldies but goodies. Some of the older
fabric that were still in stock, we were able to order
again.
Shop Hop fabric has
arrived, so be sure to get your orders in early. You can
order from our Fabric page. Just go to fabrics, then
click on 2010 shop hop fabric and choose what you want
from the drop down menu.
Check out the
kids/flannel room in the shop. We have rearranged and
put up some new samples. Looking for some inspiration or
great ideas for kids or baby quilts, we have a multitude
of panels that make up quickly and we can help with
creative ideas to make them special.

product called "Texture Magic". It is amazing. Bobette
will be teaching a class, you won't want to miss this
one, it's sure to be lots of fun.

some new items that have recently arrived in the shop.
Fray Block -
a new item similar to Fray Check. Fray Block is light
weight and easy to use.
Fabric Folding Pen - this is for use with spray
starch and works great with machine applique`.
The Farmer's Wife - this book boasts many blocks
from farmers wives in answer to the question "Would you
want your daughter to marry a farmer?" Take a look back
to the 1920's when farming was great way of life. We
will be offering a class and a block of the month based
on this book. beginning in May. Call and sign up Today

Snowmen A to
Zzzz
Join the latest in
embroidery block of the month. Debbie has done this
design from Crabapple Hill Studio with her own little
flair. Done to fit into the great Northwest. This
alphabet quilt is offered as a Block of the Month. A 13
month series for just $18.00 a month (plus s/h). You
receive the pattern, fabric and threads to complete each
block. The last block will include your borders and ric
rack to finish the quilt. (Below the whole quilt, Block

His Little Lamb
"His Little Lamb" wall
hanging is just perfect for the new baby or small child
in your life. Kit includes pattern and fabric to finish
the top. You will need floss, backing and batting to
finish. Go to wool kits)
Ruby's Garden
Although this quilt
is not new to the shop, it is new to the website. It is
available as a Block of the Month or you may purchase
just the pattern. (See Block of the Month on the menu to
the left). Below the whole quilt you get a view of just
two of the block. Each block is a basket of flowers done
in embroidery work. You receive the pattern, fabric and
floss to finish each block.
Flower Baskets
This is a quick and adorable wool applique` wall
hanging. Background is flannel with wool applique`. Use
valdani embroidery threads and buttonhole stitch to
create your own look. Measures approximately 22 1/2" by
33 1/2 ". Kit includes pattern, all fabric for the
top plus the binding. Quilt hanger is also available.
Easter Egg Table Mat
This table mat measures approximately 13" x 18". Pattern
and instructions, flannel background, (you choose pink
or green) and all wool included to complete the project.

Vintage Baby Animals - Block of the Month
If you love embroidery and babies, this Block of the
Month is for you!. Each of the nine months includes the
fabric, pattern and floss to finish the blocks. The 10th
month will feature a finishing kit that includes all
fabric for sashing and borders. Each month will be
$15.00. Finish kit price not yet determined. Sign up any
time, we mail the last week of each month.
Here are just a few of the blocks. Each is done in
multiple colors.
  
Build A Nest - Block of the Month
If you love birds and embroidery, this block of the
month is for you. This block of the month is
designed exclusively for CCQ by On Pins & Needles. This
is a 12 month series. Cost is $15.00 per month plus s/h.
Each month you will receive the fabric, pattern and
floss to complete one block. The sashing is included
along with a label for the back. This quilt measures
29" x 40".
Bunny Hop - This quilt measures
32" x 50" and goes together very quickly. The center is
actually a panel so all you do is add the borders and
look what a cute wall hanging you have, or a baby quilt.
The cost is $28.99 and includes all fabric for top plus
the binding. You will need 1 1/2 yards for backing and
batting.
Pride and Glory
Make this table runner any time. It is patriotic but
fits with most decors any season. The size is 20" x 40".
This is truly an afternoon project. The kits includes
everything you need to complete the table runner. $45.00
Baby Bunny . . . by Thimbleberries is
here. It doesn't get much easier than this. We have put
together the kit. Measures 56" x 58". All you do is trim
and sew. Kit includes Panel, border fabrics and binding.
You will need to purchase backing (3 1/4 yards). Have
this done in an afternoon. $39.99. We would be happy to
mail this to you.
Women of Design - Block of the Month
This block of the month boasts baskets from1926 - 1961.
The book "Women
of Design - Quilts in the Newspaper" by Barbara
Brackman comes from Kansas City Star books. Each month
you will receive the fabric for a different basket (a
total of 13). There will be a kit for sashing and
borders to finish. You will need to purchase the book
for the patterns. (quilt pictured without borders). This
is a 14 month series, $22.00 each month. Finish
kit price not yet determined.
Girl Gang 2008-2009 Favorite Things.
The Quilt is now finished. We are offering this as a
block of the month, or you may purchase the whole kit.
Each month the fee is
$20.00.
